The New Tier 4 Diesel Standards

problematic issues associated with Diesel have created many opportunities for DMe.

On January 1, 2015, the world moved to the Tier 4 diesel standard as a response to increasing and widespread concern about the negative environmental impact of diesel fuel. Truck, marine and off-road diesels under Tier 4 standards must reduce sulfur dioxide, nitrous oxide and particulate matter using anti-pollution devices that make diesel power more expensive and less reliable & efficient. Moreover, the additional particulate filters and selective catalytic reduction systems require increased monitoring and maintenance.
